This one-of-a-kind bag is handcrafted from upcycled vintage kimono fabric, giving new life to a cherished part of Japan’s textile heritage. Each piece is carefully crafted with a unique vintage textile and embroidered with a traditional Japanese proverb.


The embroidery reads “Onko Chishin (温故知新)”, meaning “learning from the past to create new wisdom.” By transforming vintage kimono into a contemporary bag, this design embodies the beauty of preserving tradition while embracing the present.


The soft suede-like ribbon strap can be styled in three ways—as a handbag, shoulder bag, or crossbody bag. Lightweight yet practical, it comfortably fits A4-sized essentials for everyday use.
