You use vintage kimonos. What are their characteristics?

Our products are made by hand, one by one, from remade vintage kimonos. Therefore, they have the following characteristics:

  • Each piece is a different size
  • Due to the nature of vintage kimonos, there may be discoloration, stains, dirt, scratches, etc.
  • We hope you will understand that these are the unique characteristics of vintage items.

What is the material?

As we use vintage kimonos, the details of the materials may be unknown. We list the most known information on each product page, but if you would like more information, please contact us.

Please note that due to the nature of vintage textiles, small stains, marks, fading, or color variations caused by age may remain. Before production, we carefully clean the fabrics whenever possible, and when washing is not suitable, we air them in the shade. We also try to avoid such areas during production as much as possible. We hope you will appreciate these characteristics as part of the unique charm of vintage materials.

Is there a difference between the image and the actual color?

Yes, please note that the color of the image may differ slightly from the actual product depending on your monitor or device settings.

How do I check the size?

Since each item is handmade, sizes may vary. Please check the measurements on each product page before purchasing. If you have any questions regarding sizing, please feel free to contact us.

Can I have it custom made?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept custom orders. We only sell products listed on our online store.

How long does delivery take?

Domestic delivery usually takes 3-7 business days, and international delivery takes 7-21 business days. You can check the delivery status using the tracking number.

Are customs duties charged when shipping overseas?

Yes. For international shipments, customs duties and import taxes may apply. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid at the time of delivery. The amount varies depending on the customs regulations of each country, so please contact the customs office in your country for more information.

How much will the customs duty be?

The amount varies depending on the destination country and the product price, but the following serves as a guide:

  • EU and UK: Approximately 20% VAT on the product price may apply, along with customs clearance fees charged by the delivery company.
  • USA: Orders under $800 are generally exempt from import duties.

For the exact tax amount, we recommend contacting the relevant customs authority or delivery company in each country before placing your order.

How should customs duties be paid?

Upon arrival of your parcel in the destination country, the delivery company will send you instructions for payment of any applicable taxes and fees. Please settle these via online payment or similar method; delivery will proceed once payment has been confirmed.

Can I avoid customs duties by sending it as a gift?

We apologise for any inconvenience, but in accordance with legal requirements, we are obliged to state the accurate product price on customs documentation. We kindly request your understanding regarding this proper procedure.

What payment methods are available?

We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB), as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay where available. All payments are processed securely.

Returns and Exchanges

Can I return or exchange my item?

Due to the nature of these unique items made from vintage kimonos, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for personal reasons (due to differences in image, size, color, etc.) . Please carefully check the product description, images, and size before purchasing.

However, we will accept returns and exchanges in the following cases:

  • If the product description is significantly different from the product page description
  • If there is any damage or defect during delivery
  • If you receive the wrong product

In the above cases, please contact us via the inquiry page within 7 days of receiving the product. For details, please see our return policy.

Are discoloration and stains that are characteristic of vintage kimonos eligible for returns?

No. Discoloration, stains, dirt, scratches, etc., which are inherent to vintage kimonos, are intended to be enjoyed as part of the unique vintage feel and are not eligible for return. Please check the condition listed on the product page before purchasing.

How do I care for my remade vintage kimono products?

Due to the delicate nature of vintage kimonos, please note the following:

  • Hand washing and dry cleaning recommended
  • Do not use a washing machine

As you mentioned using vintage kimonos, are there any stains or damage?

Yes. Our products are crafted from vintage kimono, obi, and carefully selected woven fabrics. Due to their historical nature, you may find minor signs of age, such as small stains, scratches, or slight discoloration.
Before production, we wash all materials whenever possible or thoroughly air them out (shade dry). While we take great care to avoid noticeable imperfections during the crafting process, we hope you appreciate these characteristics as part of the unique charm and history of vintage textiles.

Are all sizes the same?

No. The size varies depending on the type of kimono and the cutting method. Each product page always lists the dimensions (width, height, handle length, etc.). If you are unsure, please email us to confirm the actual measurements.

Could the colours and patterns appear different from the actual item?

Please note that the actual colour may differ from that displayed on your monitor or under different lighting conditions. Additionally, the pattern placement may vary due to the cutting of the kimono fabric.

Can you provide repairs and aftercare?

If possible, we may accept repair requests.

Repair requests must be made within one month of receiving the product.

Shipping costs for repairs are the responsibility of the customer.
